“je t’aime…moi non plus” (“i love you…me neither”); the curious phrase written & sung by serge gainsbourgh as a duet w/brigitte bardot (& later w/jane birkin). the message behind the duet distinguishes love from sex; acknowledging the former as something meaningful, but that often gets mistaken for the latter.

it would make sense an editorial of the same name would be erotically charged w/anonymous naked bodies that add the element of “me neither” of gainsbourgh’s situation of love.

week-end à rome. high waist pant & crop top is the perfect combination for a figure like lara stone’s. channeling the european bombshell from the 50s & 60s, her roman holiday is more brigitte bardot than audrey hepburn.

spring/summer is a good season for uber feminine ulyana sergeenko, editor at glamour russia. her designs are a reminder of the best a woman can get. each piece highlights the best in any figure & is crafted lovingly by sergeenko herself. though she is reasonably unknown, russian model natalia vodianova often champions sergeenko’s pieces & wears them perfectly.

her 1950s-vintage, ultra-feminine collection debut had me swooning! & sergeenko has me swooning again. “brigitte bardot visits russia” is the inspiration behind spring/summer 2012. the collection reflects swimwear & beachwear silhouettes & is filled w/an abundance of flirty fabrics & girly prints. sergeenko manages to deliver ridiculement chic pieces once again.
